Meal Prep!

As I throwing around ideas for my first post, meal prepping keeps popping up in my head. Proper planning prevent piss poor performance. Well the same is true when it comes to your diet and nutrition. If you fail to plan then you plan to fail!

First up... make a plan! What do you and your family enjoy eating? Plan around that. Almost anything that you like to eat, you can switch ingredients and "skinny" it up. I don't even like using the word "skinny". That's not what this is about. It's about being the best healthy version of you. So you can "healthify" it up. Yup... I just made up that word. Prolly not proper English. But neither was that either. ; )

Back on topic - Get to making a game plan for your food! For example, this week on the menu at my house is:

Hamburgers (yes! That is not a typo!)

Spaghetti with meatballs

Stuffed Pablano Peppers

Skinnier Jalapeño Poppers - (these have already been devoured by the family. They love them!)

Mini Meatloaf

Burritos (Just say no to Taco Bell!)

Jambalaya/Gumbo - I really don't know if it is Jambalaya or Gumbo. Don't really know the difference. Let's just call this my Cajun Mix. A spicy mix of everything delicious!

All these meals my family loves! I don't do the whole "Let me cook diet food for me and I'll cook a whole separate meal for

everyone else." Who has time for that? And ummm.....I like to eat good food too!

I also washed all produce and fruit and boiled eggs for the week.
